Around the turn of the century the North Shore was a summer playground for Boston's high society, much as Newport was to New York. Manchester By-The-Sea, in the heart of the North Shore, offers vacationers many adventures. The Old Corner Inn originally built in 1865 as a gracious manor home on Boston's "Gold Coast" has been welcoming guests for over 50 years. It later became the location of the Danish summer embassy. Visitors are drawn to Cape Ann for the peace and quiet, scenic harbors and sandy beaches. The Inn is within a short walking distance to Tuck's Point Harbor and not far from the nearby attractions of neighboring Salem, Gloucester and Rockport. After a day of exploring we welcome you to fall asleep in one of our clean and comfortable rooms. |
